Having a second book out in the world (or almost out in the world) is without doubt a nerve-wracking process, and I’ve been trying to keep a lid on the nerves as February approaches. Proofs of my book were sent out to some lovely authors a month or so ago and I’ve been so overwhelmed by how lovely the response has been – I admire all of these authors so much and their comments have made me feel a lot better about the book – up until I sent it out, only my agent, my friend Sabah, and my editor had read it (thank you guys!) I am so grateful to the writers who took the time to tweet or Instagram my book, and to those who have sent me lovely emails about it – THANK YOU!
The book is now available to request on NetGalley, too, so any book bloggers or reviewers out there, I would absolutely LOVE to hear what you think! You can request to read it completely for free here, and if you have time to leave a review, I’d be very grateful as it helps give me a sense of what the reception will be when it finally comes to publication day (on February 21st, 2019). I also want to say a big thank you to all the book bloggers out there who I know are working so hard all the time to read and review novels – your work really is appreciated and I’m wishing you all a very merry Christmas!
